A BIG THANK YOU...

...to everyone who made our Birthday Massacre such a fantastic event_

A Big Thank You
The crowd looked amazing as always, and it was a genuine pleasure to see so many different scenes all mixing it up in crazy Texas Chainsaw style! For once the place wasn't too packed and we could all enjoy some room to dance…well, with the exception of when Punish Yourself was delivering their intense and insane set up stairs. I hope most of you found your way to Damnation Alley…we had the extremely talented Gawkagogo create this extra special entrance to cope with past problems of huge queues and it was quite an impressive experience for those who took advantage of it.

Texas Chainsaw (the band) went on early in the night, but we were blown away by the people who gathered to see us… your support really made our night.
I hope you hurried downstairs in time to see the Great Voltini. By the time I got there, he was already doing his finally of shoving a florescent light tube up his ass and lighting it up…damn I wish I'd seen the rest!
Vivid Angel came out next and made a right mess of things with UV body fluids spewing all over the stage. She never fails to freak us out and you'll see her again at many more TC events.
And just when you thought you could relax, here comes Captain Howdy FLYING over the crowd suspended by hooks from his back! He pauses only to string up his human sacrifice and carry her back over the crowd to whence he came. Fucking hell! Thanks to the whole Captain Howdy's Flying Circus team, including the unstoppable Benwa and Alice…and of course Simon himself as the Captain.

On every floor the DJ's were rocking the house! On the top floor, a big thanks to Riyad for all the support he's given us, Jonathan from Terrorizer, Louise from Metal Hammer, and Harvey as well. It wasn't the easiest of nights, but you all did a fantastic job! Anyone who was dancing the night away on our Devil's Playground will have surely appreciated the diversity of music being spun there.  From the very beginning Sadako pulled them onto the dance floor with a great mix of industrial and deathrock. Then ROI and Frankie D from Electrogogo did an amazing eclectic back-to-back set of rock and electro that kept the floor crowded until Rob Holliday from The Prodigy and Rex from Full Tilt came to finish them off. Ghost Danser finished the night, keeping many people trapped dancing until the lights came on…a pretty mean feat considering he also started the night in the UV room spinning a strange and wonderful mix of industrial ambient/chill! And a very special thanks to Phil Able, Frog, and of course Allen TG for giving their all and huge amounts to our cause…before, during and after!

As always, most of the night was a blur of strange and unusual events: Bare-assed fetish scene big-wig on the Wheel of Death, hosted by the evil Pierre and the ever talented Gremlin assistants Simona Martini and Jason!  Maggots flying through the air, punters lining up to be electrocuted, the ever glamorous and terrifying Flirtella Deville, Bloody Mary, our sexy devil dancers including Alexe, Jolene, Becca, Krystal and of course our very special guest devil: the amazing Tasha. It seemed that everywhere you turned that night there was something more bizarre or disturbing!  How long will it be before the authorities hear about our antics and decide to make a move?

But don't think this all happens on it's own! Our team deserve huge thanks for over three months of blood, sweat and tears trying to make this happen. The amount of work that goes into creating our events is truly daunting, but this time we pushed ourselves and everyone involved with us to the limits.  I hope you agree that the result was definitely worth it. The place looked amazing and the people who attended seemed to have a fantastic time. Thank you everyone for helping us pull off another historic event! The following is an attempt to thank all the people to whom we owe a huge debt of gratitude. If there is anyone we missed, it was not on purpose!!!!

The team: Alexe, Pierre, Dave Disaster, Simona and Jason, Toni, Justin, Sergio, Lorenzo, Jim, Becca, Jessica, Simon, Benwa, Alice, Rachael, Lucy, Tanya, Ninon, Moo, Geordie, Sid, Viking, Gillan, all the UV painters, Lee, Sam, Doc, Corvus, Roz and of course Adam for sticking it out to the bitter end.

Our amazing makeup artists: Lorenzo, Camilla and Sarah. These guys have spent many many hours hard at work creating all our creatures and zombies over the last year. Their talent and hard work have made us look great!

And all the outside support we had as well: Mac, Detty and Moe from Electrowerkz (and their whole crew as well!), Regis, Marcus, Zen, Dave TG, Allen TG and Charlotte, our friends from Alternative, Terrorizer, Bizarre, Classic Rock, The Intrepid Fox, Vince Ray, Infuzion Flyers, Americo, and many many more I'm sure!
